Enchantress

enchantressAiushtha appears to be a naive, childlike, and carefree individual of the woods, and while this is unquestionably true, it is hardly her complete story. She understands the suffering of the natural world. She has roamed far, and experienced forests of all kinds, in every climate and every season, meeting friends, sharing news, conveying laughter and healing on her travels. For in worlds ravaged by war, forests are leveled for timber to build ships and blockade engines. Even in places of peace, the woods are stripped for the building of homes, and as fuel for fires. Aiushtha hears the appeals of the small creatures, the secretive folk who need green shade and tree-covered canopies to thrive. She offers herself to those who have no one. She takes their stories from the wood to the world, believing that her own optimism is a kind of Enchantment, which can itself fulfil the promise of a prosperous future. Although all Dryads are Cenarius’ daughters, Aiushtha is the favourite.
