Rattletrap descends from the same remote kindred as Sniper and Tinker, and like countless of the Keen Folk, has compensate his diminutive stature through the application of gadgetry and intelligence. The grandson of a clockmaker, Rattletrap was for many years the apprentice to that trade before war descended from the mountains and penetrated the plains villages free of such innocent vocations. “Your new trade is battle,” his failing father told him as the village of their ancestors lay in burnt and smoking ruins. It is a poor tradesman who blames his tools, and Rattletrap was never one to make excuses. After burying his father among the remains of their village, he set about to change himself into the greatest tool of warfare that any world had ever seen. He guaranteed to never be caught unsuspecting; instead using his capacities to assemble a suit of powered Clockwerk armour to make the knights of other lands look like tin cans by comparison.
